My wife and I have known Alona for over 8 years and could not be happier or more impressed with her knowledge, integrity, and, most of all, unsurpassed personal service to her clients.  We were first referred to Alona’s office in Orange County by a friend while still living out of state in Colorado.  After viewing a number of properties online before our move, we decided to fly out for a weekend to get a first-person look at the area and were still completely unsure of where we wanted to be or what we could afford.  Alona volunteered to take us on a tour of showings and actually picked us up at our hotel (we had not rented a car) and took us on a 6 hour tour of OC…talk about door to door service.  Along the way, she explained every detail of each community, the pros and cons of the area, commute times to work, what to expect for the future, and financial implications to consider that we were completely unfamiliar with (as they are fairly unique to Southern California - eg. Mello Roos).  We toured neighborhoods from Irvine to San Clemente and visited at least 8 properties along the way over the course of an entire Saturday.  After dropping us off, after what was I’m sure an exhausting day for her, there was no pressure, expectation, or passive aggressive tactics (as we had experienced with previous agents quite frequently in the past) to make the sale.  In fact, after listening to our comments along the way, she actually advised us NOT to rush into anything…but to take our time, consider our options, and even recommended that we rent for a while to get familiar with the area.  In the end, that is exactly what we did…relocating about 4 months later and renting in Laguna Niguel for 14 months.  The day we arrived, I called Alona to let her know our decision and I was blown away at her response…she was so excited that we had finally arrived and found a place…despite the fact that, so far, the time she had put in with us had netted her absolutely no gain whatsoever.  From that point forward, we knew we had found someone special in Alona (the dog connection simply reinforced that fact) and the rest is history. About a year later, after becoming much more familiar and comfortable and familiar with the area, my wife and I again began looking to purchase a home and ended up finding our dream-house about 2 months later.  Our FIRST call was to Alona and she picked up exactly where she had left us off over a year prior…we were in the home with her the next day and an offer was submitted that evening.  This is where things get really interesting…after meeting Alona at the house, we discovered that the property was a short sale.  Our hearts sank…as we had heard so many horror stories about short sale transactions from friends and family that had attempted the same just months before…6 month waiting periods with no response from the bank, pricing approvals not going through, loan modifications with the current owners, etc.  We decided to pursue it anyway and, to our absolute amazement, we closed [an unheard of] 30 days later…due solely to the persistence and execution of Alona and her team.  7 years (and a newborn) later, the time came for us to sell our dream Southern California pool-house and move back to be closer to our family in Colorado…once again, Alona was our first call.  Within 24 hours, she was in our house with us giving her [truly expert] advice on staging and necessary repairs…and the house was on the market less than 2 weeks later (the only delay being a trip out of town with my wife and I over the Christmas holiday).  In fact – while we were gone (and before the house was even listed) - Alona already had a showing lined up.  She called asking if she could show the house to her clients and we explained that we unfortunately were out of state on vacation and had left the house a mess and in no condition to show.  Most agents would have rescheduled…but Alona is not most agents.  We gave her our garage code, she went to the house the day before the showing, AND CLEANED IT HERSELF!  There is no price tag you can put on that level of service.  The house went on the market on Friday, followed by an absolutely insanely busy showing on Saturday, and we had multiple offers in hand on Monday.  We accepted our first offer on Tuesday and were under contract.  Normally the story would end here…but, again, not with Alona.  The first offer fell out of escrow due to lack of financing…we were devastated.  Not to worry – Alona had another offer in hand 2 days later.  All told – Alona ended up selling our house FOUR TIMES in a period of 2 weeks and spent more time on the phone, text, and email on our house than probably 3 of her other (much more expensive) properties combined…we were absolutely blown away at the service and, having already closed on a house in Colorado, could not be more thankful to have her on our side (there were more than a few sleepless nights during the process).  Finally – after everything we had been through, it turned out that Alona had one more trick up her sleeve.  When first deciding to move back to CO, we contacted an agent that we had worked with in the past and had known for many years (before our relocation to California).  After finding a house that we were very interested in, we called our previous agent (unfortunately Alona was not able to assist us in CO) and gave her all of the details and let her know we were ready to move on this property immediately if she could get in touch with the seller’s and start the negotiation.  6 weeks later, we had ZERO information on the property (but had been shown many more from the agent’s own office) and were told that “the seller’s won’t return any phone calls.”  I explained this to Alona and she was furious…that kind of service doesn’t fly with her clients.  She immediately got on the phone with her partner office in Colorado and started interviewing agents.  She went through 4-5 people until she found someone that she thought would match her level of service…and once again, saved the day.  We spoke with this agent, explained the situation, and he had a showing arranged for us 2 DAYS LATER (after 6 weeks of waiting with the previous agent)…we closed 45 days later.  I can safely say that without Alona on our side, we would not have had the memories we created in our SoCal dream house…would probably still be in that house several price reductions later…and would certainly not be moving into our new family dream house in Colorado.  We owe everything to Alona and could not be more thankful for her friendship and service.  It goes without saying that Alona is no longer just our real estate agent – she’s part of our family – and I can guarantee anyone that gives her the opportunity…you will not be disappointed.  Niki & Steve Ozmai

You served as our advocate throughout the process, and remained in contact with us during the waiting period from first offer to receipt of keys.
